Dyslexia Access is a Tuition and Assessment centre. The main centre is in Stone House, Plymouth, Devon with another other base in Plymstock and one in Liskeard, Cornwall.

Joanna Jeffery, MA, Dip (Dys), AMBDA is the principal of Dyslexia Access. She is a qualified teacher with specialist qualifications in dyslexia and set up Dyslexia Access in 2000.

She began her teaching career in 1975, and since then has established and run four Dyslexia units across the country, two in the private system and two in the state system. She has also taught all year groups in mainstream schools, as well as being a specialist English teacher at East Court School for pupils with Dyslexia in Kent.

Joanna has been a course co-ordinator for four-day Dyslexia courses for several years and has delivered training within schools, colleges of further education and universities. She has an MA in Education, two Diplomas, one of which is in Dyslexia. She is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association and a full member of Dyslexia Action.

Her aim is to enable those with SpLD, including Dyslexia, to become independent learners in mainstream education.
